West North Street Reconstruction Project Bids Received

City Council received and read aloud all bids submitted for the scheduled “West North Reconstruction Phase II” Project at the Thursday July 6^th City Council Meeting. Bids were received from Foil Inc., Allard Excavation, Boone Coleman Construction Co. and DGM Inc.  DGM Inc. submitted the low bid at $471,055.00. The Engineer’s Estimate for the Project was $529,877.00. Contingent upon a satisfactory review of the bid by the City and their Consulting Engineer (APX Consulting Group), City Council will award the contract to DGM Inc. with a tentative start date of August 14^th.  The Construction is scheduled to last for at least 50 days from the start date.  The Contract is for the purpose of installing a storm water drainage system for the section of W. North Street (SR 220) between Ford Avenue and Wikle Drive. Funding for the project was made possible by a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission and the City’s 2006 General Fund.
