Thomas Patterson

Thomas L. Patterson is a life long resident of Waverly.  Tom and his wife have a daughter Tammy Patterson who lives in Columbus. Tom is retired from the Waverly Police Department, and is now a state certified Police Basic Training Instructor at Ohio University.  Tom is also the Assistant Band Director at the Waverly High School.  Tom Patterson’ term expires on City Council January 2010.

Joyce ThompsonWARD 1

JOYCE THOMPSON

Joyce is married with 4 children, and worked 18 years at Pike County Health Department.  She was in Administration from 1987 to 1998, and the Director of Nurses for the Home Health Services previous to that.

“My goal is to work closely with council members, mayor, staff, and the City to encourage industry growth, and services in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, and the City of Waverly.”

Ward 2

Dick Demlow

D.Demelow.Ward 2Richard Demlow is a resident of Bristol Village, a retirement community located in Waverly.  He and his wife Diane moved to Waverly in 2003 from the Lancaster, Ohio area.  He is retired from Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio where he was responsible for the development of elderly housing projects.
He has served two terms as Chair of the 600 plus member Bristol Village Resident Association and prior to being elected to City Council, he was a member of the Waverly Planning Commission. Richard Demlow’s term on City Council expires January, 2011.

Bret Bevens

•        lifelong resident of Waverly, Ohio.
•        member of 1997 SOC II Championship Waverly golf team Bevins
•        graduated from Waverly High School in 2000
•        inducted to National Honor Society in 2000.
•        graduated from Marietta College with a BA in Mass Media.
•        member of Sons of American Legion Merit Post #142 in Waverly.

Since 2001 Bevens has worked for a number of local newspapers a both as a sports writer and news reporter.
Bevens is currently employed a substitute teacher in the
Waverly City School District.

 

Forrest BlakemanWard 4

FOREST BLAKEMAN

Forest worked at Mead Corporation for 36 years.  This is his second term as a council member

Steve Fisher

S.Fisher.Ward 5Steve Fisher is a life long resident of Waverly. He is married to Alene and is employed with Don Thompson Lincoln Mercury Dealership in Chillicothe. Steve desires to make Waverly a better place to live and work and help keep the City financially stable. Steve Fisher’s term on Council ends January of 2011.
