City Obtains new Official Seal

 On the Tuesday, January 20^thmeeting of City Council, the City was presented a ceramic version of the new Official City Seal.  The ceramic piece presented was designed and created by local artist Carma McCreary.  The city was able to commission the artist through a grant from the Ohio Arts Council as obtained by the Community Development Director Nathan Davis.  The seal presented in the picture below will be hung in the Council Chambers replacing the existing former seal.  In the spring of this year, the City plans to contract for the construction of a sandstone entrance feature on the north end of town that will contain an even larger version of the seal.  This enlarged version will also be created by Mrs. McCreary, as provided for in the Ohio Arts Council Grant.
