Bill Kelly was appointed Mayor at the young age of 29.
He was elected Mayor in 1996 and re-elected in 1999, by obtaining 80% of the vote. Previously, he served as a City Councilman and was Council President the year prior to becoming Mayor.

I attended Ohio University majoring in Business Management. Putting my education
to good use, my wife, Teresa, and I own and operate the KFC, as well as co-own and operate Jolly Pirate Donuts in Waverly
We live in Waverly with our daughter, Tara, who is in the 8th grade and our son,
Devin, who is in the 3rd grade. We attend Waverly Baptist Temple. I am also active coaching youth sports.
